WE CALLED THE ENERGY DETECTIVE

It was a typically hot, sunny August afternoon when the “Energy Detective” came to our front door.

“Do I really want to do this?” I wondered as I walked through the house to open the front door. “Do I really want to find more problems and more reasons to part with my money?”

Well, after all, I had invited Ray Olsen to come over and show us where we were losing energy and, therefore, losing money.

Ray began his visit by getting to know us and sharing some of his own history. Before long we were relaxed and enjoying our visit. After awhile, Ray got down to business. He explained the technical aspects of his work and began showing us images of heat invasion into our home.

The hi-tech thermal imaging produced dramatic evidence that we were indeed investing our money in cooling the Arizona desert! Room by room, Ray proceeded to document through photography the areas of greatest concern, areas of energy drain.

While he does not recommend any repair services, he will advise ways to address energy loss issues. It will certainly make us better clients when it comes to hiring professionals for an energy upgrade for our home, and after the work is completed, we will invite Ray to return.

An “after” inspection will tell us how effective our efforts have been and how well we have invested our money in prevention. Thank you for the insight, “Energy Detective.”
